Bug Description
VLC needs to be demoted to multiverse (preferably in previous releases
too, but I can't see that happening). It (for reasons of which I am not
aware) includes the source packages for x264 and faad2 in the modified
.orig.tar.gz. Both of those sources are themselves in multiverse.

faad2 source tree should be removed from the vlc source package and b-depends on libfaad-dev added instead. faad2 licensing changed recently and all faad2 packages are now in universe. Debian vlc maintainers have already made the change (see also http:// bugs.debian. org/451948). x264 still remains problematic, so either demoting vlc to multiverse or drop x264 support should be considered.
