Floppy drive label icon changes to "1,5 GB Media" and don't go back to "Floppy Drive" anymore

When I unmount the floppy disk, the floppy drive is not named "Floppy drive" anymore: it's named "1,5 MB Media".

Steps to reproduce:

1. Insert a floppy disk in the drive.
2. Click on it to mount it.
3. Unmount it (with right-click and selecting "Unmount").

Expected behavior:

The floppy disk icon says "Floppy Drive", like in the beginning (i.e. before you mount any floppy disk).

Actual behaviour:

The floppy disk icon still says "1,5 GB Media", as it says before unmount it. The icon will never be "Floppy Drive" anymore.

This is a screenshot to show how Places menu looks like BEFORE I insert a floppy disk in drive and click on Places->Floppy Drive to mount it.

It's in Spanish: "Disquete" means "Floppy Drive".

This is a screenshot to show how Places menu looks like AFTER I unmount the floppy disk I previously mounted clicking on Places->Floppy Drive. Even if I unmount it, it will never go back to "Floppy Drive" anymore.

While the lack of interest may be that those with newer systems lack floppy drives, suffice it to say that there are millions of systems still out there that still use floppies. http://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=525573 shows no action either, so is is possible that Ubuntu can address the bug directly?

Triaged is also used to mean "this bug has been reported upstream and we're waiting on them for a fix".

Thank you for bringing this bug to our attention. Unfortunately a paper cut should be a small usability issue that affects many people and is quick and easy to fix. I'm afraid this bug can't be addressed as part of this project.

nobody said it can't be adressed it just doesn't quality as a hundrerpapercut usability issue, it's a standard software bug

I encounter a bug of the same kind.

When I introduce my USB key (with the label KEY Thibault), the icon which appear (on the Desktop, in Nautilus, etc.) is no more the good one. (look at the screenshot).
I have however another USB key which don't encounter this problem (see the screenshot attached).

I'm encountering this problem since I used my key on Windows and stopped Windows before to remove it. I can reproduce this bug enough times you want to have all data.
Before this event, I used to use my key with both Linux and Windows, without problems.

I join also the result of the command "gvfs-mount -li" with the both USB key mounted.

I have found a solution for my problem. I 've just use my USB on a computer with Windows, and surprise, there is no more problem on my Ubuntu.

This is fixed/resolved for me in Lucid 10.04 (of course you need to keep:
$ apt-cache policy udisks
