evince is verry slow when resizing

Binary package hint: evince

When changing magnification, resizing, switching to full-screen, evince is slow and uses a lot of CPU, even audio stops for a second.

I can always reproduce this when switching to full-screen, but not always when resizing.

This happens on a dual core notebook with an up-to-date hardy.

Pedro, happens with several files random files downloaded from the net, and a test file a just exported from OO.org.

I can't reproduce your behavior with the pdf you attached and i don't have a dual core system. to be confirmed by someone else experience the same issue, thanks.

Maybe this is somehow related to the video driver in use ?

I have an ATI X1350 with the free radeon driver, so no hardware acceleration.

This works OK with the ATI proprietary driver. I'll try it with the free driver again and get back.

Oh, forgot to reply to this bug ...
I tried this on the Intrepid LiveCD and it does work OK with the default video driver.
