Bug Description
Retrieving cover art for albums with multiple artists is messy - each combination of artist/album has to have its cover assigned individually (assuming the cover found by the collector isn't good), and that means playing each individual track.
A number of solutions suggest themselves:
* Sharing manually-assigned art for tracks with the same album tag as the "default" art for that album, regardless of artist
* Ability to manually assign album art without having to play a track
* Ability to assign album art to multiple tracks at once
Those last two aren't mutually exclusive. :)

Once can (at least now) assign covers to albums via the "album art collector" tool. That way you will not have to "play every track".
Still the multi artist issue remains. However, it is not save to assume that with correctly tagged music, songs sharing the same album tag, have the same cover. Especially with a larger music collection, there may be albums with the same title.
Probably that is the reason for the current situation?
Still I would vote to overcome the multi album issue with the proposed method (same album tag => same cover). Then one can manually change the album art when issues occur with same tags.
Alternative: maybe use a musicbrainz-like tag to identify an album. I have such tags, but probably most of the users do not have a unique identity tag.
