Snap Apps are not using Papirus icons

Bug Description

After installed this snap, no visual change i can see.
Are there any steps i am missing?
Please help, thank you.

@aoilinux I have created a bug-report of your issue.

Can i have the output of ;

1) snap version

2) snap connections | grep "icon"

3) Name of your Desktop Environment ? (Gnome,KDE,Xfce etc.)

Thanks for the output, everything seems fine from the top can you post some screenshot of celluloid (settings tab where icons are visible) ?

Also any screenshot which describes your issue will be helpful.

Sure, i recorded my screen.
Those apps icon didn't change afer i installed papirus-snap.

Thanks . Do the following.

1) sudo apt-get install papirus-icon-theme

2) gsettings set org.gnome.desktop.interface icon-theme 'Papirus-Dark' (If Dark mode)

   gsettings set org.gnome.desktop.interface icon-theme 'Papirus' (if light mode)

3) Logout & Log in.

Does now both apt & snap apps uses papirus icons ?

The snap package of papirus is to be used along with apt package of papirus, the apt papirus themes apt packages & system components while the snap papirus theme only themes snap apps and has no effect on apt & system components.

So if you only install the snap package it will not work until you install the apt package & configure your system to use papirus icons.

The snap serves as a supplement to provide papirus-icon files to snaps as snap apps are sand-boxed & can not use/access system icons & themes directly.
