Bug Description

I'm using Dolphin to copy files to my external thumbdrive. I do this regularly with files > 600mb. When Vmware is running the copy will stall and be sporatic. I will get periods of speeds up to 8Mb/s then it will slow down and stall. I am also sharing a different USB drive within Vmware. I have removed any USB hubs, etc and tried different USB ports. This behavior did not exist on the same hardware running OpenSuse. It appears to also occur when I use the console to copy using cp.

When running without any issues, I get about 20 MB/s speed.

Running kernel 2.6.24-12 on Hardy / Kubuntu 64.

I have verified that without Vmware running I get copy speeds of about 8Mb/s. With Vmware running I get the above behaviour. During the stall, top shows I have plenty of idle process and iostat shows IO use is normal.
