Thank you for filing this bug and make Ubuntu better!

Can you try hexchat and gimp too, see if you can reproduce that?

It affects also teams-for-linux and spotify windows. Relogging fixes the issue. Also when the bug is present and I'm using teams for example and I click on something, then "bugged" window goes in background and "background" application is focused.

Probably related to my hexchat & gimp bug; https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/hexchat/+bug/2061132

I can reproduce it with hexchat, gimp, spotify, teams-for-linux on wayland ubuntu desktop 24.04

When maximizing the windows, there seem to be a freeze of the window too

I have the same problem, can't resize any windows tested with Krita and VSCodium. I don't know if this is related, but sometimes the mouse clicks through the windows to the window below the current one. (only for those that don't resize) basically unusable

Too add on to the issue being resolved after signing out and logging back in. I was using the automatic login option. If I disable the automatic login option, the issue is no longer present.

Additionally this issue affects every application which I've tried which uses Electron and a random assortment of others.

In my test all applications have this problem only GTK4 and libadwaita do not, maybe also GTK3?
Firefox with CSD works, but sub-windows without CSD don't work. Maybe this is related to SSD

HI I tested this also as I was not having the issues described at the time.
Working with lotuspsychje I set my login to 'Autologin' rebooted and then I had the resize bug.

Applications affected don't support CLD and some are Electron apps.
Gimp, Hexchat, Spotify, Discord, Teams

One thing I noticed was when these apps were behaving correctly, they had a slight drop shadow around them.
On reboot and autologin enabled that drop shadow was do longer there and I could not resize the windows.

Is this also related to the Compositor? Maybe something is not starting when Autologin is enabled.

I don't use Autologin and have the same problem
