Bug Description
The reader for Calibre 7.9 on Windows 10 21H2 LTSC freezes when using Alt+tab to switch to another window and back again when text in Epub file is selected. It takes a few seconds to get back to normal operation.
The issue seems to be related to the popup box with the text selected, Calibre doesn't freeze when there is no popup box.

Does not reproduce for me on my Windows 11 machine. Steps I tried:
1) Start calibre
2) Open an EPUB book in the calibre viewer
3) Select some text so that the popup displays
4) Press Alt-tab to switch back to the main calibre window
5) Press Alt-tab again to switch back to the viewer window
6) viewer is responsive as expected
Might be something specific to the GPU drivers on your system. Try
updating them or alternately try disabling GPU acceleration for the
viewer as described in https:/
