Bug Description

When installing Ubuntu 24.04 on a physical machine it will fail with an error saying something went wrong.
the logs seem to indicate that subiquity is running into an error.
when we perform an install using the same iso on the same network but installing on a VM instead the install works fine.

here are the steps we are using when installing 24.04 using auto install
1.boot to ISO
2. edit the Grub boot parameters to include the path to our autoinstall.yaml
linux /casper/vmlinuz quiet ip=dhcp cloud-config-url=http://ourserver/pub/cloud-init/autoinstall.yaml
3. wait for ubuntu install to start.
4 error occurs

I have the logs from /var/logs/installer. I also have a copy of our autoinstall.yaml file I can share.
