Bug Description

I have found that on two of my computers which require the restricted nvidia driver for the nvidia NV11 [GeForce2 MX/MX 400] with a fresh install of ubuntu (this goes for gutsy and hardy), once the nvidia restricted drivers are installed windows borders are gone unless you disable desktop effects.

Thanks for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. Could you please add your ~/.xsession-errors, /var/log/Xorg.0.log and the output of lspci -vvnn to your bug report as separate attachments? Thanks in advance.

I have uploded those things as attachments.

My problem has changed-- window borders no longer disappear but desktop effects cannot be enabled.
