Bug Description

Dear HomeBank Team,

I hope this message finds you well. I wanted to start by expressing my admiration for the HomeBank software and the incredible effort put into its development. It’s a tool I use daily, and it has significantly simplified my financial management.

I’ve encountered an issue in the ‘Cash Flow Forecast’ graph that I believe warrants your attention. When transactions are categorized by accounts, I’ve noticed that “Transfer” type records are not being considered in the calculations. This omission results in an inaccurate representation of my PayPal account’s balance. Specifically, the account, which is recharged through “transfers” from my main account, is shown as having a net loss instead of the expected 0€ balance. It seems that while expenses are recorded correctly, the transfers are not.

Additionally, I’ve observed a formatting error when entering a transfer, which I’ve detailed in the attached screenshot.

For reference, here are the technical details of my setup:

- HomeBank Version: 5.7.4
- Operating System: macOS 14.4.1 (23E224)
- Graphics Library: GTK+ 3.24.41
- Hardware: Mac with ARM architecture

I suspect this issue might also be present on other operating systems.

I trust that this report will be helpful for the continuous improvement of HomeBank. Thank you for your dedication to creating such a user-friendly and efficient software.

Warm regards,
Emanuele

Hi,

I hope I red you well, as you mention forecast but the 2nd screenshot has the option off when showing the balance deviation.

By default internal xfer are excluded, as it is mentioned into the doc.

You can change this once required by opening the filter.
There is also a permanent option into the preference > Report > Statistics options

What is: 'Additionally, I’ve observed a formatting error when entering a transfer, which I’ve detailed in the attached screenshot.' ?

the screenshot has no annotation ;)
