Bug Description
Binary package hint: firefox-3.0
Ubuntu hardy (development branch) 8.04 (Upgraded from 7.10 (upgraded from 7.04 (upgraded from 6.10)))
Firefox Version: 3.0~b4+
xine-plugin version: 1.0.1~cvs200705
gxineplugin version: 0.5.11-5ubuntu1
libxine1 version: 1.1.10.1-2
DESCRIPTION:
I'd like to watch some video stream using xine-plugin but that doesn't work. Firefox asks to download the plugin.
I checked the following locations:
root@geof-laptop:~# ls /usr/lib/
flashplugin-
root@geof-laptop:~# ls /usr/lib/
flashplugin-
root@geof-laptop:~# ls /usr/lib/
flashplugin-
But the pluging does not appear in firefox 3.0b4 's "about:plugins" page and does not load (i.e. i can't watch videos).
WHAT I EXPECTED:
I expected firefox to find xine-plugin and xine-plugin to play my video. It's ok with konqueror+
Firefox 3 is using /usr/lib/ firefox- addons/ plugins for its plugins. Did you try it?
