Starting to commision/deploy a machine takes a long time

Bug Description
With 3.4, if select a machine in the UI and choose to deploy or commission it, the popup sidebar disappears after a couple of seconds after I push the "Start deploy" button.
But in 3.5, it takes around 30 seconds in order for the sidebar to disappear.
I'm seeing similar slowdowns when using the API as well.

@bjornt and I had a call about this issue and came to the conclusion that we won't be able to improve anything in version 3.5. But the problem still exists and should be fixed in future versions.
