Bug Description

Binary package hint: hwtest-gtk

Ubuntu hardy (development branch) Release: 8.04
hwtest-gtk version 0.1-0ubuntu6
Hardware: HP Pavilion dv9000
Kernel options: noapic (due to bug 89746)

I run Hardware Testing utility from Applications->System Tools menu. I answered the questions and clicked Next button. After mouse test I clicked Next as well.
I expected to see next screen. However, the window freezed and stopped responding. It kept CPU utilized 100% even after I had to force the application to quit.

Exactly the same happens to me: Freezes after clicking next to mouse question, then CPU 100% even killing the app.

Ubuntu 8.04 Beta
hwtest-gtk version 0.1-0ubuntu6
Hardware: (Laptop) Dell XPS M1330

I'm using Hardy Beta as live CD.

In the previous testing I commited a stupid mistake. I was testing with amd64 version of Hardy, when my laptop is i386. Sorry!
I will test this when I burn one i386 CD, though. I have no one at hand at this moment.

Well. Now with a copy of hardy beta desktop i386 on a Dell XPS M1330.

Testing live CD, I did it twice.

1st time, it happened the same. Program freezed when clicking next button on mouse test. One of the CPU's was at 100%, the other at 25%. At one time, they switched, the first to 25% and the other to 100%. Killing hwtest didn't change anything.

2nd time, it worked, although it took some time to go on after clicking the next button on mouse test.

If I kill the process:
 sudo killall -9 lshw

I can continue and submit the test results.
