icons not symmetrically placed when bar is at > 0.5

When bar pos it set to, say, 0.9, the icons are no longer placed symmetrically on the bar, but rather a bit to the right.

Patch applied in r492 of trunk

This patch introduced a rather ugly bug. The animation of the bar resizing looked ugly. I didn't opened a new bug report. Instead I fixed it directly into trunk.
