Bug Description

The current tentative target kernel for Ubuntu release 24.04 is 6.8.
However, as of exactly now, in the kernel.org page, the 6.8 kernel is not yet released. It's at version 6.8rc6 (release candidate 6).

Ubuntu's kernel package has the version 6.8.0-11-generic. This information is wrong (it's not 6.8.0) and misleading, it leads one to think the kernel is newer than it is.

This doesn't sound like a bug with Pinta. Did you mean to file this elsewhere?

Yes. I thought I was filing it to the kernel package for ubuntu development (as I say in the description). I don't know how it ended up in pinta.
