Bug Description

Whenever I try to launch Ktorrent-kde4, I get an error dialogue stating "KDEInit could not launch /usr/lib/kde4/bin/ktorrent",

which is odd since it does launch and work perfectly (as far as I can tell) otherwise. Just that annoying initial error window.

Oops. Forgot to mention, even if it was implied by the subject line, that this only happens when clicking on a .torrent file from Konqueror. When launching the program from Kickoff I don't get the error.

there has been a new update, is this still an issue?

Yes, unfortunately it's still an issue. Using KDE 4.0.3 with Ktorrent 3.0.1.

There is a workaround though. If you keep Ktorrent running in the systray, and configure the scanfolder plugin to watch say /home/user/downloads,
and make sure to save torrent files there instead of "Open with Ktorrent", it works without the error dialogue.

Now if only there was an option to make Ktorrent launch on login without opening its main window.

Okay, forget the last sentence. That was apparently a bug in either earlier KDE4 versions of Ktorrent or some supporting libraryfile. It now starts without the interface when launched on login, which it didn't just a few days ago.
