ltsp-build-client requires 'net access to run

ltsp-server:

I chose 'ltsp install' from the install options

ltsp-build-client failed. When I continued, and retried by hand, I see this :-

E: Failed getting release file http://archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/dists/hardy/Release
error: LTSP client installation ended abnormally

This machine does not have internet access - many ltsp installs will only have CDs.

This bug occurred when the machine had an IP address from DHCP, but no default route.

With a statically configured network, it succeeded.

if you run it manually its actually supposed to use the network unless you give it a different --mirror option (i.e. --mirror file:///cdrom)

what i would like to know is why the install from CD failed first place, can you attach the /var/log/installer/syslog and ltsp-image-build.log from the same dir ?

gotcha re: --mirror option, I missed that. I have re-installed, but cannot repeat my initial install error. Sorry.
