Bug Description
Calibre Portable 7.5.1 (Windows 10)
Using the cover grid view to select multiple books by clicking one cover, holding shift, then clicking a different cover seems to behave randomly. For example, if I have a screen showing 28 covers and I click the cover in the second row / third column, then hold shift and click the cover in the fourth row / fourth column, the app sometimes selects 6 books (three in column 3 and three in column 4). If I repeat the attempt, it might select 16 books (five in row 2, all of row 3, and four in row 4) which is what I would expect. However, it doesn't always work this way. I also see inconsistent selection when scrolling while holding shift after selecting the first book in my desired range. The behaviour is inconsistent when selecting "forward" or "backward". It seems like this bug has only risen within the past two months, or so - at least I don't recall noticing it before.
Thank you!
Fixed in branch master. The fix will be in the next release. calibre is usually released every alternate Friday.
