Bug Description
Binary package hint: thunderbird
when I write a new email, I immediately see my signature (-- (newline) best wishes (newline) sofian rahmani), BUT, when I reply to a message, and my signature appears above the quote (I set it to do so), the dashes (--) are not there! just best wishes, then sofian rahmani. note: when I created the signature file, I didn't include the dashes.

Dependencies:
DistroRelease: Ubuntu 7.10
Package: mozilla-thunderbird None [modified: /var/lib/
PackageArchitec
SourcePackage: thunderbird
Uname: Linux Sofian-Laptop 2.6.22-14-generic #1 SMP Tue Feb 12 07:42:25 UTC 2008 i686 GNU/Linux
I have observed the same behavior on Thunderbird 2.0.0.12 for Windows when I top-post with my signature above the quoted message.
I'm not sure if this is a bug or not. If I add "-- "+(newline) to my signature block and then send the email to myself as the recipient I get the message back and Thunderbird treats everything below the "-- " as the signature - including the quoted message. Leaving out the "-- " when top posting a reply does not cause that issue.
