Bug Description

Binary package hint: xkeyboard-config

Using hardy beta, xkb-data 1.1~cvs.20080104.1-1ubuntu2

In the keyboard layout options dialog, I have "Both alt keys together change layout" set.
With gutsy, it worked. After upgrading to hardy it stopped working.

The "both ctrl keys..." setting doesn't work as well.

"Both shift keys..." works just fine, and so does "alt+shift"

Ctrl+Ctrl doesn't work either, and neither does Shift+Shift.

I have this bug as well, since upgrading to Hardy. However! Switching from "Swe" (Swedish layout) to "USA" _does_ work by pressing both alt keys, just not the other way around!

This makes me wonder if the xorg bug truly is the cause of this bug..? ("because virtual modifiers RAlt/LAlt are not passed to X server", quoting Sergey V. Udaltsov - if the modifiers are not passed then how come it works when in Swedish layout?)

For me, shift-shift work fine, Only (that I know of ) alt-alt that doesn't work. Pain, i had only just decided that that would be my universal, across computer, key combination to change language!
