Bug Description

Please merge pexpect 4.9-1 from Debian unstable.

The main goal is to make pexpect compatible with python 3.12. See [0].

During the merge process, after rebasing onto new/debian I noticed the delta was now empty because our patches are now in upstream and were then integrated in the debian package.

Specifically, see [0]

I will now request a sync.
