Bug Description
Suspending using the gnome logout menu does not return from resume.
On resume hdd activity etc all work, and screen backlight comes on. But system appears locked (no led indicator on capslock key press).
This does not happen when suspend is invoked from gnome-power-manager applet tray icon.
Believe is related to compiz as even when resuming from tray, screen is corrupted, and the password lock box is obscured (moving mouse cursor around turns to text cursor, and inputing password to unlock returns system to normal state).

Using hardy alpha 4 ... this behaviour was also present in both fiesty and gutsy stable releases. Switching to kde and using kde-laptop applet and screensaver does not exhibit this behaviour.
