Changes via CLI don't show up in GUI

Bug Description
Using MAAS 3.4 and this happened on 3.3.x as well if i recall.
I modify the boot-source-
maas maas boot-source-
This never shows up in the GUI, even if I hit ctrl+F5 on my browser.
I tried going to other tabs and back and forth...no help.
If I do "snap restart maas" it shows up.
So the GUI never gets updated as a result of the update.
