Bug Description
It got dropped from Debian due to being obsolete and dead upstream. An alternative seems to be "mdadm".
We're still tracking it in Ubuntu "main" as part of the live-common seed and an Ubiquity Recommends.
The Ubiquity installer is depecrated, though. So we should consider dropping dmraid from main.

currently the idea is for ubiquity to not be in main for 24.04. There is a very high chance that this will succeed
It might still be around for the flavors, but it should be in universe then

for subiquity installers I expect that dmraid is obsolete, and that we are covered by the mdadm usage.
for ubiquity, there are still references to dmraid in partman.
d-i seems to have undergone a pruning step to remove dmraid support with commits such as https:/ /salsa. debian. org/installer- team/partman- base/-/ commit/ 72735280fefab7e 27acb4bbb1b6b83 cb88f75611
