Bug Description

I have been trying to upgrade kubuntu 23.04 to 23.10 via konsole. Messages are:

$ pkexec do-release-upgrade -m desktop -f DistUpgradeViewKDE
Checking for a new Ubuntu release
kde
QStandardPaths: XDG_RUNTIME_DIR not set, defaulting to '/tmp/runtime-root'
authenticate 'mantic.tar.gz' against 'mantic.tar.gz.gpg'
extracting 'mantic.tar.gz'
QStandardPaths: XDG_RUNTIME_DIR not set, defaulting to '/tmp/runtime-root'
exitMainLoopMidFlight

I then get an error in a window:
