Bug Description
There are way too many options to choose from when it comes to languages. Can we simplify this a little bit?
Should we just copy Calamares' list[1] wholesale, or is that too incomplete? Where do we draw the line?

I'll agree with this (too many options)
In bug https:/ /bugs.launchpad .net/ubuntu/ +source/ calamares/ +bug/2046099 I changed from english(US) to english(AU) which I personally see as pointless.
Australia converted from pounds & imperial measurement to dollars & metric in 1966. IBM PCs came with PC DOS from 1981 which mentioned the English(AU) in the back of the manual and had a reference codepage for AU, but the print at the bottom said it was identical to US; hey for years the machines inc. keyboards sold in AU were US made with only PSU voltage change (240V AC here).
I don't have any knowledge with non-english though sorry.
