Thanks for taking your time to report this issue.

I can confirm the same error message with flowblade 2.10.0.4-1 on Ubuntu 23.10. I also found a corresponding bug report in Debian.

I can reproduce the issue. I think it is because it is an X11 app which is being run through Wayland directly.

Please try the following command from a terminal:

GDK_BACKEND=x11 flowblade

That makes the program start for me at least. (Or if I choose the `Ubuntu on Xorg` session on login). So it looks like it's related to Wayland.

Unrelated to this, I notice bug 2048721 was filed recently. I first thought it was a duplicate, but this seems like a separate issue and not caused by Wayland. So there might be more issues lurking.
