Uneven display after having accessed new folder via F3, CTRL+L (right panel)

Bug Description
Using a monitor in portrait mode, after pressing F3 (open another tab on the right) there is no consideration of efficiently presenting the file list. This results in uneven resolution usage and also for mouse manipulation.

Pressing F3 opened the panel on the right.
Then pressing CTRL+L to paste in /a/path/ resulted in it loading however that left the "Date Modified" column on the right as missing a portion while the left one now has a plain empty white bar in the middle.
This problem possibly only affects just portrait and reverse portrait monitor modes in which we struggle for e-a-c-h horizontal character that we loose.
