Bug Description
No details of problem were shown onscreen.
Booted Xubuntu daily of jammy, started installation.
selected sda2 for /, and another for /home
re-using a system that was installed earlier this year... after power outage the system (noble) refused to start gui, so re-installed (non-destructively) in attempts to get operation, but failure(s) there too.
this install is jammy; if GUI issue here too, the issue maybe related to something in my $HOME which I'm re-using, but I've yet to test that; install itself is reported as failing.
** expected results
install completes; asks me to reboot
** actual result
installer window closes and window tells me install failed, no other details.
