Bug Description
re-install of lubuntu jammy (daily) on
- hp prodesk 600 g3 sff (i5-7500, 8gb, nvidia geforce gt710 (gk208b) + intel graphics 630)
re-use existing partition(s), sda2 for /, re-use ESP & re-use of /home
i want one working system on this box; and hoped for lubuntu jammy to replace no-longer-function jammy, alas install failed

Install completes, reboot & i have a Lubuntu jammy system for my use

reboot & I have a non-working ubuntu desktop (noble) & the lubuntu jammy though /var/log/installer/ still report xubuntu noble (prior install), no GUI, and lsb_release & neofetch don't report it a lubuntu system, but mostly looks okay (no GUI being a very different issue i suspect)
original install was lubuntu mantic (with updated noble calamares) which no longer gets to GUI; the installer was redone & issues (like this; noble though)... then retried with xubuntu (clean install with ubiquity; noble) but still had GUI issues, then ubuntu desktop (clean install with ubuntu-
