Bug Description

re-install of lubuntu jammy (daily) on
- hp prodesk 600 g3 sff (i5-7500, 8gb, nvidia geforce gt710 (gk208b) + intel graphics 630)

re-use existing partition(s), sda2 for /, re-use ESP & re-use of /home

i want one working system on this box; and hoped for lubuntu jammy to replace no-longer-function jammy, alas install failed

** expected results

Install completes, reboot & i have a Lubuntu jammy system for my use

** actual results

Installation failed box with message
---
Command <i>update-initramfs</i> finished with exit code 1.
Output:
update-initramfs: Generating /boot/initrd.img-6.2.0-39-generic
E: /usr/share/initramfs-tools/hooks/dhcpcd failed with return 1.
update-initramfs: failed for /boot/initrd.img-6.2.0-39-generic with 1.
---

reboot & I have a non-working ubuntu desktop (noble) & the lubuntu jammy though /var/log/installer/ still report xubuntu noble (prior install), no GUI, and lsb_release & neofetch don't report it a lubuntu system, but mostly looks okay (no GUI being a very different issue i suspect)

original install was lubuntu mantic (with updated noble calamares) which no longer gets to GUI; the installer was redone & issues (like this; noble though)... then retried with xubuntu (clean install with ubiquity; noble) but still had GUI issues, then ubuntu desktop (clean install with ubuntu-desktop-installer noble but GUI problems as expected)
