Bug Description
I recently upgraded my Ubuntu distro to version 23.10, and around the same time I also upgraded some firmware (fwupdmgr upgrade). Now every time I log in I see the same message at the top of the screen saying:
Software Update Installed
An important OS update has been installed
If I click on the date at the top of the screen, then click "Clear", the notification goes away, but if I log off and back on again it appears again.
I did some Googling and found a couple of reports of the same or similar issues. E.g. https:/
The above link indicates others are experiencing the same issue on Ubuntu 23.10:

Sorry I don't know which Ubuntu package is causing the notification. I also can't say whether the problem was caused by the distro upgrade or the firmware upgrade (or both)?
