Bug Description

When I run this on a dual-boot system (Kubuntu 23.10 on /dev/sda and Windows 10 on /dev/sdb) it reports an error when saving.
Something about a parsing error on line 333(?) and suggests I check the config files for errors (but I hadn't changed any of these by hand).

This system is NOT a UEFI one (first installed things 10 years ago and left the layout the same even when I switched everything to SSDs).

The problem goes away if I remove the 31_uefi-firmware_proxy file out of /etc/grub.d.

summary: - Does not work for non-UEFI system with Kubunut 23.10.
+ Does not work for non-UEFI system with Kubuntu 23.10.

Thanks.
Don't seem to have got a notification about this update, but I saw the package arrive and had a look here.
I've tested it (with the 31_uefi-firmware_proxy file back in place) and all is OK on my system now.
