wayland : no uppercase accented characters with capslock

Until Ubuntu 23.04, with the "french alternative" [français (variante)] keyboard, capslock gave you directly uppercase accented characters (like É È À) from the keys 2, 7 and 0 of the fifth row of the keyboard.
With 23.10 Mantic, it has disappeared with Wayland (you get é, è, à) BUT it works like before if you connect with Xorg.

Additional information:

This issue depends on the application used ! You get it with Gnome-text-editor or LO Writer but not in Firefox Web browser (snap). Because the good libraries are embedded with the snap ?
