Bug Description
Binary package hint: vlc
I am requesting a Feature Freeze exception to have PulseAudio support for VideoLAN in Hardy.
Hardy ships PulseAudio by default and VideoLAN does not work out of the box with new sound server, but it requires a specific output plugin, which is now missing in our repository.
Attached patch implements PulseAudio plugin, it is taken directly from trunk:

New plugin will be shipped through a new binary package (as you can see from debdiffs in bug #196417), so regression potential should be limited because existing binaries are not touched by this new feature. Users have to expliticly install new package in order to add support for the new plugin.

Have you tested the new functionality?
Changes don't seem big to me, so ACK #1 in case it is actually working.
