Thanks for reporting this bug Dnyansehwari! I just tested a fresh install of this package and it worked fine for me.

Did you modify anything about this package before attempting an upgrade or were you upgrading from a custom package?

Something else that caught my attention was the fact that unattended-upgrades failed to run a bunch of times before the user tried to install mysql. This may point to an underlying problem that is not clearly visible in the logs.
