pressing stop button (or ESC) should permanently stop loading

I'm not sure whether this is a bug or not...

When I press the stop button it stops loading and then immediately continues. Probably it stops loading html file and starts downloading other included files such as CSS and JS.

I think the default behaviour should be that it stops permanently.

Thanks for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. We appreciate the difficulties you are facing, but this appears to be a "regular" (non-security) bug. I have unmarked it as a security issue since this bug does not show evidence of allowing attackers to cross privilege boundaries nor directly cause loss of data/privacy. Please feel free to report any other bugs you may find.

i accidentally checked that 'security bug' checkbox... i did not even read it, i thought it was terms/agreement/conditions stuff... that's what i automatically do whenever i see a checkbox near 'submit' button :)

FWIW, I don't experience the issue you describe.

Have you upgraded to firefox 3? Still a problem?
