Thanks for the bug report. Please open a terminal and run:

   journalctl -f

Now while playing music, please watch to see if any new log messages appear when the sound goes silent.

If you don't see any log messages when the bug occurs then please repeat the experiment by running:

  bluetoothctl

I'm watching `journalctl -f` output. Nothing suspicious is happening there.

And `bluetoothctl` shows me no logging information. Do I need to execute a sub-command?

You could try:

  bluetoothctl --monitor

but if nothing is printed then it sounds like there are no significant changes in the Bluetooth connection.

So this sounds like it could be a buffering problem in Wireplumber/Pipewire whereby it can't cope with signal degradation. Please try removing any wireless mouse you might have, and ensuring there are no devices using 2.4GHz wifi in the vicinity as those will interfere with Bluetooth.

A software solution may also be possible by increasing buffer sizes in Wireplumber/Pipewire but I'm not familiar enough with that.
