Hi,
I think this is related to 1980831 but I'm not sure.
Since updating a bunch of packages on Thursday, whenever my ThinkPad E495 is plugged into its USB-C dock attached to 2 DisplayPort monitors, the GUI completely freezes. Changing to a TTY is not possible. SSH still works. This occurs whether the laptop is running at the desktop and docked, or booted from cold while docked. It is fully functional while undocked.
Hardware: ThinkPad E495 (Ryzen 5 3500U, Radeon Vega 8), Lenovo USB-C Dock Gen. 2, 2x Acer Nitro VG270Ubmiipx DisplayPort LCDs (2560x1440@60Hz)
Ubuntu release: 22.04.3
Kernel: 6.2.0-26-generic
Expected: docking the laptop results in detection and use of the external monitors, as per previous 12+ months
Actual: display goes black with cursor on laptop LCD, cursor frozen. One external activates, displaying black. Other external has no signal.
Tried: rebooting, changed from kernel 5.19.0 to 6.2.0, xrandr via SSH (hangs), undocking (no change)
