Bug Description
When setting preferences to skip some folders from being backed up, one cannot select hidden (dot) folders, event with typing ctrl-H in the file selection dialog.
This is particularly annoying with folders like ".thunderbird" which can be huge, and useless to backup

Xavier

Thank you for your report! Some quick thoughts:
1) I don't think there's anything I can do about that - the system owns the file selection dialog.
2) I just tried on 23.04 and it worked for me, BUT it didn't necessarily reset the scroll point - can you try it and make sure you scroll up to see if there are hidden folders above?
3) You can always press Ctrl+L to enter a folder manually
