Bug Description

See log:

https://autopkgtest.ubuntu.com/results/autopkgtest-mantic/mantic/ppc64el/r/rust-uom/20230804_082041_9a745@/log.gz

The tests pass in ppc64el vm, which could indicate a memory issue(?).
The tests fail if retried.

This is not a memory issue. This is because Ubuntu uses IBM long double (aka "double double") on PowerPC instead of the standard IEEE 754R binary128 for the long double.

This may change in the future, but for now, I think we will just disable those tests.

Zixing, I belive you are misreading the logs and focusing on a failure that is actually ignored.

The actual failure seems to be

and i'm seeing the same thing happen on arm64 as well.

My experiance is that when you see a SIGKILL in a build log it usually means the system ran out of memory and the OOM killer was triggered.
