DISTRIB_DESCRIPTION="Ubuntu 7.10"

Dear good people,

I am an emacs user. Sometimes after using c-s c-x to exit emacs, I have to restart emerald. I am not sure if the issue is with compiz or emerald. However, it is sort of
annoying that exiting emacs messes up my desktop. I think this is a bug.

Have a good day.
Aaron

Try switching to gtk-window-decorator instead of Compiz, and see if you can still reproduce this. Also, please test with Intrepid http://releases.ubuntu.com/intrepid/
