Bug Description

Lubuntu mantic (daily) install to
- hp dc7700 (c2d-e6230, 7gb amd/ati rv610/radeon hd2400 pro/xt)

The box had 2x installs
- Ubuntu Desktop (mantic: installed yesterday if I remember correctly)
- Xubuntu mantic (mantic; not recent; but still not that long ago)

I didn't boot & confirm which was on first partition & which was second..

** Testcase

Replace partition; i just selected partition to re-use & provided name etc

** Expected Result

New install with new Lubuntu mantic & either Ubuntu/Xubuntu mantic on other (xubuntu install is perfect xubuntu; if ubuntu.desktop survived it'll get to gdm3 correctly which would have been pass for me for this test)

** Actual Result

Installation Failed

The installer failed to create partition on disk 'WDC WD800JD-60LSA5' Details:

Create a new partition (30.53 GiB, ext4) on ‘/dev/sda’

Job: Create new partition on device ‘/dev/sda’

** Of note

Whilst I've not had any issues with Xubuntu during the mantic cycle; I HAVE HAD issues with Ubuntu Desktop that leaves the GUI black-locked.. Whilst I always endeavor to SysRq REISUO/REISUB so file-system is left clean; maybe I didn't? which led to this??

I don't believe that is the issue, but either way - on only a single FAIL currently; to me this issue isn't worth spending much effort on (currently anyway).. as I'll be encountering this numerous times on this box (and don't intend re-using this box on Ubuntu Desktop much anymore whilst it has this video card)
