Bug Description

Caja has always handled the Media Transfer Protocol poorly. It has always popped up a menu stating it could not make a connection, even when it could.

Recently, when caja stopped working at all, it was useless. I had to switch to Nautalis which does not support mtp.

After the last Ubuntu update, it can make a connection. I can see the files on my tablet. I just cannot open any files or transfer files. What part of Media TRANSFER Protocol do you not understand?

Apparently, the coders do not actually know what the protocol is. If they did, I believe they could implement it.

I can transfer some files. But for others, I get a pop-up saying Caja cannot send the document information.
If I cancel the file transfer, the Name window goes blank.
When I try to go to the parent directory I get "Could not display... Location is already mounted"

Finally managed to unmount the tablet.
When I tried mounting again, the unable to connect pop-up did NOT appear. But the subdirectories did not appear. When I finally got the subdirectories to appear, I was able to create a new directory and drag-and-drop one file. When I tried to copy a second file, Could not send object error appeared. Apparently, copying a file screws up caja. Trying to open the file got Atril Could not get the file from device error.

The tablet is a Samsung Tab A7 Lite SM-T220 Android version 13 Kernel version 4.19.191-26023185-abT220XXS4CWF4.

I was able to open the one file transferred on the tablet, but not on my computer.
Caja is glacial. Opening a directory can easily take 5 minutes.

Apparently, I am one of the very few with an Android tablet with a microSD card who wants to transfer files from my computer to the SD card. So I realize this but is not considered very important. But I would appreciate some help.
