Bug Description
Upon booting the Mantic arm64 desktop daily ISO (dated 2023-07-03), the live environment is not started. Instead, the graphical login displays a username/password prompt. None of the usual suspects (ubuntu or mantic) are accepted.
During the boot, several messages appear on the text console indicating that username "ubuntu" was not found. If the ISO is booted to single user mode, /etc/passwd does not contain any username 'ubuntu'.
The ISO is being installed on a virtual machine - VMware Fusion 13, Mac mini M1 (2020) Apple silicon CPU.
Mantic server daily builds do install and work properly, so whatever the issue is, it's with the Desktop daily build.

I'm having trouble booting up an arm64 vm, but as some added info this is not the case for the amd64 image of the same day.
