Bug Description
Step 1: Install simple-ccsm. Install compizconfig-
Step 2: Remove simple-ccsm (because its... too simple)
** gnome-appearanc
Step 3: Reinstall simple-ccsm. Try to select "Custom Settings". Nothing appears to happen. Close appearance dialog and reopen... it doesn't have Custom selected...
???
Step 4: Choose "Extra" effects and then open the compizconfig-

Ubuntu Hardy Alpha6
gnome-control-
1:2.22.0-0ubuntu1
Confirmed here on hardy beta with all update.
But I never installed simple-ccsm ? just install the compizconfig- settings- manager as I did in gusty and custom didn't appear as a choice.
the most inconvenient things is that if for some reason we have to switch to metacity before we could use the gui and set to none in desktop effect, then when we want to switch back to compiz reselect custom and we are back we our own settings. now if we want to do the same we have to use the cli or we will use all our own settings.
Thanks
