Bug Description

I use the Intell graphics driver for Intel 915. When I am on my login screen, I noticed that the font size is very large is very large. It is so large that the text does not fit in the text box on the login screen. This applies to all login themes. And very often when I login, the title bars on my windows are very large (for a screenshot go to http://img222.imageshack.us/img222/5783/screenshotxi7.png). I can fix this temporarily by logging out then back in. I've noticed that this usually occurs the first time i login after starting the computer up. It will also spontaniously crash the X server sometimes (but very rarely). I switched to vesa and it doesnt do that, but it also doesn't let me use compiz-fusion. I reinstalled Ubuntu hoping it would fix these problems, but it didn't. Since the reinstall didn't work, I have concluded that this is a bug (even the people in the IRC rooms said they never heard of this problem before). My computer is a Dell Inspiron 6000 incase anyone needs to know that. Thank you for your time in reviewing this issue.
