[Hardy] Wireless password type and password not being saved

Bug Description

I'm running Alpha 6 with a significant upgrade (approx 240mb) just
installed.

Set the Password type to WPA2, enter the network password and click OK.
Can now connect wirelessly.

Close Network Settings and re-open, or re-boot, and the settings are
back to WPA, with no wireless connection.

The same is happening to me. Gutsy used to work fairly ok with that (it was dropping wireless settings
max twice a month). Hardy is dropping the settings every time the system reboots. Also, the green
led - wireless indicator is not working any more.

Run on:

VAIO VGN-SZ2XP/C

CPU: Intel T7600
RAM: 2 GB 667 MHZ
Chipset: Intel 945 GM

Same here on Hardy. Every time the computer boots, I have to open up the network settings. It shows the correct wireless type, and there's a bunch of dots where the password should be, but for some reason I have to re-enter my password before it'll work (disabling and re-enabling the connection doesn't work).

I ended up replacing network-manager with wicd. It's been absolutely
rock solid for me. Maybe the problem will be fixed by release date.

Maybe one of the recent updates fixed things, because I'm no longer having this problem.

nope I still have this. my wireless hotspot does not broadcast its SSID so I have to manually enter it. In Gutsy I do it once and it automatically saves it and connects everytime. Now I have to enter it manually everytime I log on.

solution anyone?
