It looks like this will require us to use Kubernetes as the backend datastore for Calico. Currently, we configure Calico to store its data directly in etcd.
We have to maintain compatibility with existing clusters that are storing their data in etcd today. Migrating Calico data from etcd to Kubernetes for those clusters is likely to be a major challenge.
For now, you can use calicoctl to manage Calico resources. For example:
juju ssh calico/0 -- calicoctl get networkPolicy
