3.10 (and likely for earlier versions)
The UPDATE_NON_CAT_TYPE and DELETE_NON_CAT_TYPE permissions do not allow updating or deleting, respectively, in the non-cataloged types editor interface.
CREATE_NON_CAT_TYPE is needed to perform all functions. In the Fieldmapper, CREATE_NON_CAT_TYPE is listed for create, update, and delete permission.
